Your contribution is usually not charged until after the funding period ends—and only if the project is successfully completed (depending on the type of campaign).
Why isn't the payment being charged right away?
Crowdfunding works differently from an online store: When you back a project, your payment method is registered or briefly verified, but the actual amount isn’t charged until it’s clear that the campaign was successful.
When exactly will the move-in take place?
- Once the campaign has ended successfully, the funds will be distributed.
- After the campaign ends, you'll also receive an email confirming that the funds for your contribution have been processed.
Note
If there are any issues with the payment (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), you'll also receive a notification and can update your payment method in your support details.
