You cannot manually reset a project that has already been completed to the funding phase.
What's possible?
1) The project has been successfully completed
In exceptional cases, Startnext may consider reactivating your account. This is only possible if you contact us and meet certain requirements.
Important to know:
- When the first project was completed, several processes were already triggered (e.g., confirmation/closure, notifications to supporters).
- If the project ends again after being reactivated, backers will not automatically be notified a second time of its successful completion.
2) The project was not successfully completed
A project that has not been successfully completed cannot be returned to the funding phase.
What should you do now?
- If you want to continue your project: Create a new project (or use content from your old project as a template or copy, if possible).
- If you think this is a special case (successfully completed): Contact support with the following information:
- Link to the project
- Brief explanation of why reactivation is necessary
- Desired new end date (until when should the project run?)
Here's how to avoid this problem in the future
- Keep a close eye on your project deadline and make sure to build in a buffer early on.
- You can adjust the project duration multiple times if you're on the Pro plan or higher—but no changes can be made in the 24 hours leading up to the deadline.
- The maximum duration is 150 days for projects starting with the Pro Plan.
- If you're on the Basic plan, you'll need to upgrade to adjust your project's duration.
Examples
- A project with 40 days remaining can be shortened to 2 days if it needs to be completed quickly.
- With 13 hours remaining, no further adjustments are possible.
- With 25 hours remaining, the deadline can still be extended (up to a maximum of 150 days).
