Overview
Some projects on Startnext are available in multiple languages. If multilingual support is enabled, you can view a project in a different language—without having to reload the page.
Change the language on the project page
If the project has enabled translation languages, you'll see an "AI Translations" button in the project header above the project title that lets you translate or select a language.
- Select the language you want there.
- Startnext then loads an AI translation and displays it directly on the page.
You can only select languages that have been enabled by the project.
What types of content are translated?
As of May 7, 2026, the project-specific content is currently being translated. The system texts are currently available only in German or English.
If you support a project in a language other than German, you will receive all subsequent communications (e.g., confirmation emails) in English.
Share links in a specific language
The selected language is specified via a URL parameter, for example:
If you share a link using ?lang=... , the project opens directly in that language (if available).
What should you do if there are errors or the translation is poor?
If you notice a translation that needs to be corrected, use the feedback feature in the project by clicking the “AI Translations” button. That way, we can assign your feedback directly to the correct project and language.
