Your project community consists of your project team, your ambassadors, your insiders, and your launch crew. These different groups support your project in various ways. You can find them in the project interface under "Team"—being part of the project community does not automatically mean you are allowed to edit the project.

Which groups are part of my project community?

Your project community consists of four groups: the project team, ambassadors, insiders, and the launch crew.

  • Project Team: You, as the project owner, and your team members work together on the project. Team members can, for example, edit project content, thank-you messages, blog posts, and email campaigns.
  • Ambassadors: Ambassadors promote your project using personal referral links (affiliate links). This allows you to track the support they generate. If they accept a commission offer, they can receive an agreed-upon commission in return.
  • Insiders: Insiders get involved in your project early on; they can review it as early as the draft stage and provide feedback. You can offer them exclusive thank-you gifts.
  • Launch Group: Your Launch Group connects your project with other projects and their teams that are launching during the same time period. You can exchange ideas and support one another.

The project team is therefore part of your project community, not a term that refers to all four groups. The Launch Team is a cross-project group and not an additional role within your project.

Where can I find my project community and team management?

You can find the groups in your project community in the project interface under "Team."

  1. Sign up for Startnext and create your project.
  2. Open the project interface by clicking the gear icon on the project page.
  3. Go to Team.
  4. Select the group: Project Team, Ambassadors, Insiders, or Launch Crew.

There you'll find the individuals or groups and the functions available for each. The actions you can perform depend on your role in the project and the selected area.

What can I do in Team Management?

In Team Management, you organize collaboration with your project community. The features vary depending on the group:

  • Project Team: Invite team members, view existing members, and—with the appropriate permissions—manage memberships and pending invitations.
  • Ambassadors: Invite people and track their referrals as well as any agreed-upon commissions. Commission offers and contracts are managed in the Ambassador section.
  • Insiders: View your insiders and invite people to get involved in your project early on.
  • Launchbande: Get to know other members, use the group chat and direct messages, and view shared metrics and schedules for community calls.

Team management brings these areas together. However, it does not grant the same administrative rights to every person.

New Features Starting October 14, 2026

You can invite team members, ambassadors, and insiders even before October 14, 2026. You can use your launch group as soon as your project enters the funding phase.

Starting October 14, 2026, the following features will be added:

  • Personal referral links (affiliate links) and commission agreements with Ambassadors
  • Exclusive thank-you gifts for Insiders
